Standard Do you want to know why you still feel like shit? Read "Rockefeller medicine men"

    Dear Friend in hypothyroidism ...

Would you like to know why you still feel like crap, even though you supposedly receive medical care?

In communities that have been based on social equality, the money followed diseases. After the Fall of the Wall in Eastern Europe, Cuba is the (last?) country in the world where money continues to follow the disease, whereas in capitalist countries like ours, the money follows those who are sick.

When the money follows diseases, society gives priority to effective treatment and eradication of diseases because they are a cost to society. The more sick are healed, the greater are savings for society that can use the money (taxes) on the financing of other needs.

By contrast, when the money follows the sick - the more sick people, preferably as chronically ill as possible, the more money travels through the sick, and into the pockets of the producers and sellers of medical treatment.

That's why you still feel like crap ...
.... and that's why there is no way that you have the energy to read the book I will recommend here.

Since 1979, the book "Rockefeller medicine men" has appeared in successive editions, and although dealing with conditions in the United States, the book's messages are valid in any society based on the capitalist economy, also in Scandinavia.

The fact that we have free medical care available does not mean a damn in this context because manufacturers of medical treatment are profit-oriented private companies, while sellers of medical treatment - the majority of the medical profession - directly being paid by society, and indirectly funded by the pharmaceutical industry.

That's why you feel like crap, even though you supposedly receive medical care, because it is not in the industry and the industry-oriented society's interest that you are healthy. For them, you only have value as sick.

Forget all your dreams on desiccated thyroid treatment, because the truth is that producers and sellers of medical treatment would go bankrupt, the Wall Strett Crash Once More, if the synthetic treatment of hypothyroidism was replaced by treatment with desiccated thyroid.

Remember that for manufacturers and sellers of medical treatment you only have a value as sick. Then do your civic duty, remain sick and stop whining.

Do you want to know why you still feel like shit?

The book "Rockefeller medicine men" may give you some (if not all) answers.

Rockefeller medicine men, medicine and capitalism in America
    By E. Richard Brown.
Published 1979 by University of California Press in Berkeley.
    Written in English.

    • E. Richard Brown: about
    • Read online: here or here
    • More Information: here.

    • "If you truly want to understand something you have to know its history – what came before it, how it developed and why, etc. This book gives you the history of our current medical system. As it turns out, modern medicine is more about political power and money (kind of like everything else) and not about helping the sick."

    • "There's really a whole lot of accurate, excellent information here, well-documented, and tells why we have the kind of health care-system that we have today - how medicine got its start, and where it went wrong!"
