Re: Sv: Paul, can your CT3M be used by those who use syntetic T4/T3 also?
You also need to remember that my book 'Recovering with T3' is only a little bit about my invention of the CT3M. Most of my book is about how thyroid hormones really work, the limitations of thyroid blood tests and what is better to use instead (or at least alongside blood tests). It also discusses why T3 is important for some people and how T3 may be used safely, effectively and systematically to regain health. It discusses proper supplementation and all the tests that are important to have including the right iron tests, B12 etc. There is far more in the book than the CT3M and many people on T4/T3 or natural thyroid really like my book because of this information. There is a lot of talk of the Circadian T3 Method (CT3M) because it is new but to get well you need an overall approach.
Good luck and good health to all forum members here!!

One of the reasons most doctors do not want to precribe NDT/Thyroid is because it contain ca 25 % T3. And that is far too much as a doctor at the Thyreoidea Clinic at a big hospital here in Norway explaind to me. We use to give 10 % T3, the specialist said.
So, to have 10 % of your dose in T3, is maybe like surviving on 500 kcal per day? A kind of starving-diet?
Paul, I am really, really looking forward to have your book in my lap and read it. It seems that there are a lot more to learn. And this givs me a big hope. It is easy to feel hopelessness when you go from one medisction to another, each time with a hope that now is the time to go back to a normal life. And each time experience to fall down in th rabbit hole, in to the darkness and again feel the fatigue overwhelm you.
I have a hope that this CT3M and the LDN is the new way to again be a human beeing, being able to do a work full time• Hashimoto's, hypotyreose, Armour 2009

Re: Sv: Paul, can your CT3M be used by those who use syntetic T4/T3 also?
That doctor is not thinking straight then. The people that need thyroid hormone often have multiple problems caused by being hypothyroid for some time. Adrenal issues are common and so is low iron due to poor absorption. Blood sugar balance may be an issue and B12 etc etc. So, these people need a decent amount of T3 in their medication to have any chance of regaining the balance in their bodies. Thousands of people all over the world have got better on natural thyroid. Mark Starr's excellent book explains why NDT is so helpful.
If someone got to a point (unlikely) when they had too much T3 in their NDT medication then they could always substitute a portion of it for T4 and effectively reduce the ration. This doctor is plain wrong - not even close to be right at all.
How does he explain people like me that can't even take any T4 without becoming hypothyroid?
No, thyroid treatment needs to offer a range of options:
- T4 for those with simple problems and no need a top up of T4 - often older people with only a small extra need
- T4/T3 or natural thyroid for the majority - this should be the standard option
- T3 only or T3 with a little T4 for those that cannot get well with NDT or T4/T3.
Best wishes,
